First editions, first printings. Volumes 1 and 4 of a 4 volume set. Volume 1 is numbered 736 from an edition of 1000 (it is assumed volume 4 is from the same set, but volumes 2, 3 and 4 were issued unnumbered). Blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine. Volume 1 has a crease to the spine and both volumes are dulled to the spine and lack dustjackets.
