First edition, first printing. Two volumes bound in green cloth with quarter leather spine and leather corners. Gilt titles and top edges. Profusely illustrated with photographs and diagrams in addition to a large number of photogravure plates. Some foxing to the edges and sporadically internally, though this hs not affected the plates. Generally very good indeed with wear to the corners and head and tail of the spine.
