First edition, first printing. Three paperback volumes presented in a fine thin flimsy card slipcase. Signed by the author on the title page of volume one. Fine. Also signed on the reverse of the slipcase by the illustrator, Leanne Shapton. The slipcased edition is the true first. A single volume paperback also exists, but this volume was intended for export only - the publisher decided to make it available in the UK rather than to reprint the slipcased version. Longlisted for the 2010 Man Booker Prize. Shortlisted for the 2010 Costa Novel Prize.
